A new grant scheme for community groups in Derbyshire has gone live today offering grants up to £500.
Derbyshire County Council has launched their new Action Grants scheme and groups, clubs, local charities and other non-profit organisations working in communities across the county can download the online application pack and apply.

Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa is urging anyone living or working in the county's rural towns and villages to make time to share their views and play a positive part in the response to rural crime and antisocial behaviour by completing the 2018 National Rural Crime Survey.

Charges for residents taking building and demolition waste to our nine household waste recycling centres have been removed.
Charges were introduced on Monday 3 April 2017 to help pay Derbyshire's £37.2m waste bill each year.

We're introducing charges from 3 April 2017 for some types of waste we
accept at our recycling centres.
Government cuts mean our budget will be a third lower in 2018 than in 2010
